I have a Labrador named CC, and every day I take him for a walk around the neighborhood before I go to work.
There are stray cats and many children in the neighborhood, so every time we go downstairs for a walk we bring a leash for CC. The stray cats in the neighborhood are more alert and not easy to approach. We often give them food, and there are many cat lovers in the community, so the stray cats do not lack food and live a good and healthy life.
One morning, as usual, CC and I took a walk downstairs, and when we got near the rockery, he seemed to notice something, and then signaled me to go over to the rockery. When we walked in, it turned out to be a stray cat mother feeding her kittens, and the sound the kittens made attracted CC.
The mother cat hiding under the rockery saw me and CC she did not run away but pressed down to protect the kitten, staring at us.
CC is more timid but very caring, he gestured to me to help them. Due to the distance of more than two meters so we looked at each other and did not come closer. The kittens look very small, and should not be one month old, because of the fear of scaring them, we stayed less than a minute to go away, and intend to bring them food after work.
After work, I rushed to the rockery where I found the stray cat family in the morning. They were still there, but there was more cat food on the rocks, presumably from the nearby caring people. The mother cat was eating, and when she saw me coming, she looked back and did not run away.
I opened the canned of food I brought and carefully tossed it to her, but unfortunately, it tipped over I thought the mother cat should be able to eat the food inside and didn’t come any closer.
She didn’t take a step away from the kittens even while she was eating. When she got up I got a good look at the three kittens, they were sleeping, a black one, a ginger one, and a mix colored one that looked a lot like the mother cat, so cute!
Because the kittens are too small, the mother cat is very alert and refused to leave the kittens, temporarily unable to approach, and can only watch from afar. After communicating with two nearby cat lovers, they also think the cat is too small, and wait until the kitten grows older to find suitable adoptive homes for them. (To be continued…)
